First and foremost, here is some information about this journal at this post.
At the beginning of 2008 I have found a newborn love for cosplay, after joining a cosplay group. I expect myself to be spending less on doujinshi and more on cosplay now. I tend to buy whatever I can before I resort to sewing, so it will cost me quite a bit. Below are a list of cosplays I plan to do (kind of sorted by date):
| Gokudera Hayato (60%) [Katekyo Hitman Reborn!]
Will be attempting his outfit from the Varia/ Ring conflict arc. I just love all the accessories on him, although he doesn't have much of it on during his battle with Bel. I have already asked a friend from the cosplay group to do a photo shoot of this outfit for me. It's too bad my cosplay group doesn't seem to have any clue about KHR at all.
Target Date: 07/05/08
Costs (so far):
- Pants: $35
- Shirt: $6
- Bombs (12 rocket & 36 regular bombs): ~$5
- Straps around leg/ arm: $10
- Storm Ring: $30 (Animate version)
- That ring on his middle finger: $20

- That thin bangle on his arm: $11
- Rubber bracelet thingies (whatever you call them): ~$5 for 12 (only need 6 though ^^;)

| Rokudo Mukuro (40%) [Katekyo Hitman Reborn!]
I am not totally committed to wearing this. It will depend on if I have the guts to stick contacts into my eyes (I have not worn contacts before in my life). Also there seems to be a long process before I can actually wear them (like getting my eyes checked and stuff...) Originally wanted to wear this on the first day of the convention (if I'm going) but I've changed my mind about that. I have another costume I would rather wear. I'm just going to take some photos of this one and then store it away (unless I need it again ^^;)

| Tomoyo Hime (0%) [Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE]
A character I chose to do as part of the cosplay group I joined. I think this will be the most complicated thing I will have to sew in my life (thus far). And no, I have never taken any sewing classes. Deadline for this one is ultimately when our group decides to walk around the convention together. I hope we have another day for the real photo shoot.

| Kadaj (15%) [Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children]
I love this character and since watching the movie I had the urge to cosplay him. But his costume seems impossible to make and the auctions online just don't seem very accurate. All I have is his sword at the moment. I'll need to buy everything in this outfit ^^;
